Comprehensive infrastructure development within the port is also underway, including the construction of modern road networks, efficient drainage systems, and smart lighting powered by sustainable technologies. The project further includes the development of new administrative and service buildings to ensure high operational performance. A fully integrated digital system will manage port and cargo activities in real time, enhancing operational transparency and accuracy.
In terms of safety and environment, the project adheres to international standards for industrial safety and marine environmental protection, positioning Jiliyana Port as a modern model for future ports in North Africa capable of regional competitiveness and handling future demands.
This project is expected to significantly boost trade activity and streamline import and export operations. It will also generate hundreds of direct and indirect employment opportunities in maritime transport and logistics services, contributing to both local and national economic revitalization.
As a key component of Libya’s comprehensive development strategy, this project underscores the country’s commitment to upgrading its critical infrastructure and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally.
