Overview
The Benghazi International Hospital is envisioned as a groundbreaking medical facility that sets new standards in Libya’s healthcare system. Designed with a patient-centric philosophy, the hospital emphasizes a healing environment where architecture, technology, and nature converge to enhance recovery and well-being. It represents one of the most ambitious and specialized healthcare investments in the country, both in scope and service offerings. Occupying a total built-up area of 55,000 square meters, with a first-floor footprint of 14,000 square meters, the hospital will be equipped with advanced medical technologies, including the cutting-edge CyberKnife system—a non-invasive robotic radiosurgery tool that offers unprecedented precision in treating tumors.
Total Area
The facility will feature 185 inpatient beds and a wide range of specialized units and departments tailored to meet the growing healthcare needs of the population. These include 41 outpatient clinics for consultations and diagnostics, 21 emergency care units for acute response, 10 dental clinics, and 9 maternity departments designed to support maternal and neonatal care at the highest standards. Beyond medical services, the hospital is designed to support operational excellence, with integrated digital health systems, smart infrastructure, and sustainable environmental planning. This ensures not only world-class care but also efficient, transparent, and responsive service delivery. This project marks a pivotal shift in the medical landscape of eastern Libya, positioning Benghazi as a regional hub for advanced healthcare services and medical innovation. Upon completion, it is expected to elevate the standard of care available
