Overview
The University of Benghazi – Al-Marj Branch (Educational Building) project is a development initiative aimed at rehabilitating and upgrading four faculties and institutes within the branch, with a total area of 48,819.385 m². Works commenced in January 2024 and are being executed by Al-Haram Engineering Company under the ownership and supervision of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund. The project aims to enhance the academic environment and provide modern infrastructure for students and faculty members
Total area
The project is located within the University of Benghazi – Al-Marj Branch and involves the rehabilitation and development of four main academic components: Al-Khwarizmi Institute, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics, with a total area of 48,819.385 m². Works commenced in January 2024 and are being executed by Al-Haram Engineering Company under the supervision and ownership of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund. The project aims to enhance the efficiency of existing buildings, modernize educational infrastructure, and improve the overall quality of academic facilities in line with contemporary standards. The Faculty of Education represents the largest share of the total area, followed by the other faculties and institute in varying proportions, reflecting a balanced spatial distribution within the branch.
