Overview
Two years ago, Khalifa Holding Group inaugurated the 114th branch of one of the world's most important shopping brands, Giant Hypermarket, with a modern and convenient interior and exterior design, changing the concept of the shopping experience among the people of Benghazi. A strategic partnership between Sunwan Holding Group, owner of Gyan, and Khalifa Holding Group through its executive arm, Eabr Al-alam for General Contracting and Real Estate Investment Company, resulted in the announcement of the establishment of a second Giant branch in Benghazi. With a different functional identity and a comfortable shopping experience, the second branch of Giant was built with a different structural design than its predecessor; strategically located within the city on an area of 4143 m², with a basement car park with a capacity of up to 94 vehicles and a ground floor containing a large food store, while the first floor houses a variety of departments, including home and clothing stores, as well as various additional departments.

In accordance with the required specifications and standards, February 2023 saw Eabr Al-alam begin work on the second branch, with engineers, labourers and technicians working day and night to deliver the modernised project on time and to the required quality. From the foundation phase, starting with the concrete works, Khalifa Holding used the latest technologies and materials to ensure durability and sustainability, while working on establishing electricity, high-efficiency central air conditioning systems, a sophisticated fire system, as well as installing 6 elevators and 4 modern escalators that facilitate movement between floors and provide a comfortable shopping experience. In the finishing phase, the group's arm did not overlook any detail, completing all the meticulous landscaping work, floor and side tile installations in the finest materials, and the distinctive red stone for the columns, right down to the installation of suspended ceilings, modern glass and marble facades, high-quality doors and windows, to complete the final scene, transforming the store into a commercial edifice worthy of Giant's global status. A modern urban monument that meets the aspirations of the people of Benghazi, and puts them in a profitable shopping experience that takes into account all segments, including the segment of people with special needs, with a huge human capacity, according to the highest engineering standards, in accordance with security and safety conditions, in a scene that demonstrates the skill and mastery of a national arm that is part of a holding group that works to meet all the requirements of modern life.
